What Is ArtsColumbia?

So what is ArtsColumbia? It’s a free essay database… created with the sole purpose of promoting its writing services to you. Once you click on any of those links or try to contact customer support, it redirects you to, which is a page owned and operated by Oceonica Corp. That’s the company behind StudyClerk and several other similar sites.

Is ArtsColumbia legit though? Although it basically looks the same as those others and the writers are the same, there is a chance that things are done differently here. I will share my findings in this review, but here’s a quick rundown of:

What I liked:

  • Helpful and prompt customer support;
  • Free essay samples;
  • Some writers offer prices just above average.

What I disliked:

  • Annoying “Make an order” banners;
  • The absence of Arts Columbia reviews on the Internet;
  • Fake writer profiles;
  • Unprofessional writers;
  • Unfavorable refund conditions.

How Much Does a Paper Cost?

On the main page, there are multiple reminders that you can order a custom essay at $13.9 per page. By the way, those are extremely annoying, they are everywhere. You find an essay sample you like, you want to copy it, and you can’t; instead, you get an offer to order your own essay. You try to download the sample in one of the offered formats and get a banner, saying that the site doesn’t allow downloads. And there’s that offer again. I tried to get that essay sample to be sent to me by email. I never got it, unlike several messages offering me to order a paper and describing the benefits of ArtsColumbia scam service.

Okay, let’s get back to the prices now. There’s a price calculator you can use to examine the cost of the service you get, which is either writing, rewriting, or editing, based on the page count and deadline you set. The only problem is there’s also a writer’s level choice, standard, premium, or platinum, and choosing the latter two doesn’t affect the price on display. It is said they cost additional 10% and 15% respectively, and I guess I am supposed to calculate the final cost on my own.

Another problem is once you place your order, you are shown writers’ bids, and they may be very different from those promised $13.9 per page. It’s quite an average price, but it’s probably there only to attract attention, and that calculator is completely useless in the end.

ArtsColumbia Discounts

As always with bidding-based platforms, you will not find any ArtsColumbia discount code on the site. And there’s no point trying to negotiate the price with writers, they can’t change the bids, those are dictated by the website. However, there’s a little trick. When I cancelled my order and checked the reason for cancellation as high prices, I got an email with the link for a 10% discount.

Is ArtsColumbia Safe?

For those who read the terms of use and answer yes to “Is safe?”, I have to point out that after you click the button to place an order, you get redirected to a page with different terms of use and with a different website owner. Some of the conditions are the same, like 3 days for requesting a refund, but there are more details provided.

There are only a few cases in which you can get a full refund, like in case of accidental double payment, late delivery, more than 10% of plagiarism, or if you cancel the order within 15 minutes of its creation and assigning a writer. In other cases, you only get a percentage of your money back, even if you are not satisfied with the paper quality.

What Customers Say About This Writing Service

Reviews are difficult to come by, and with this one, there are going to be like three of them now, I guess. It’s weird to see thousands of comments praising the writers on their profile pages, while there are exactly zero ArtsColumbia Reddit mentions, as well as no TrustPilot or SiteJabber reviews. The first explanation is those comments are accumulated from other websites using the same bidding platform with all the same writers. Another explanation is that most if not all of those comments are fake. Like, it’s often just one word, a couple of them at best.

Besides, check this Prof. Winny’s profile photo. Yep, you can even see a stock photo watermark if you just open the image in a new tab. If their writers are fake, why can’t their customers be? And just as lazy, writing one-word feedback.

How It Works

Ah, the order form I already know by heart.

It’s very easy to fill, won’t take more than a minute, so let’s see if there are any additional services you can get. And it’s the usual package:

  • 1-page abstract for $17.90
  • VIP support for $12.99
  • Progressive delivery for $8.99
  • Essay outline for $12.00

How to Get In Touch with Customer Support

There is a live chat for contacting customer support and another one for direct communication with the writer. The customer agent responded to me in less than 10 seconds and was helpful enough.

The writers, on the other hand, can be quite annoying while you are considering their bids. Also, that doesn’t seem very professional.

Is ArtsColumbia Worth Trying?

This hasn’t been a very positive ArtsColumbia review so far, and, unfortunately, it won’t change now. Those are definitely not professors behind those avatars, but at least the price for my paper was just about average. It was an okay work that could use some improvements, particularly in grammar and word choices. As I have already concluded in my other reviews of this bidding platform, those must be some ESL-writers, and some of them may be better, some of them may be worse. Anyways, this lottery is not worth the risk and money, there are some good writing services out there that don’t need to rely on all these cheap tricks ArtsColumbia uses to look like a decent site with highly-educated writers.

Is artscolumbia legit?

ArtsColumbia has very tricky refund policy which makes its customers almost unprotected against money loss risks.

Is artscolumbia scam?

Reviews left by clients are quite controversial and are not numerous at all which is strange taking into consideration the number of completed orders.

Is artscolumbia relaible?

The company has fake writers. The images you see on their site are borrowed from the Internet. They probably have ESL writers since grammar and word choices require improvement.
